Stock the Bar Shower – Bridal Shower Invitations

A wedding can be a serious, moving, and formal event. However, the Bridal Shower is the time for a couple to have fun with their friends, featuring the bride or both the bride and groom together in a couples’ shower. There are as many themes for this type of party as there are for parties in general, but one popular theme that is commonly seen on the latest

these days is a stock the bar shower. This is a way for the couple to build up their own impressive stockpile of alcohol.

Each guest that receives one of the bridal shower invitations is asked to bring a bottle of some sort, to contribute to the couple’s eventual bar in their home. Although it’s a good idea to cover the high end basics such as nice bottles of vodka, gin, and whiskey, with this type of shower you might want to think about providing other types of liquor that a couple might not think about purchasing on their own. A bottle of Campari, peach schnapps, or other specialty liquors could help round out the basics and make their bar more interesting and diverse.

When there are duplicates of bottles, such as the same type of vodka or whiskey, then it makes sense for those who have received bridal shower invitations to be able to partake in the excess alcohol at the party. To help prepare for this, it’s a good idea to have a wide variety of mixers on hand. Sparkling water, club soda, tonic water, ginger ale, and cola are just a few of these mixers that every bartender should have. Fresh fruit juices can be mixed with vodka, gin, or other fruity liquors. If you have a lack of bartending experience, you might want to hire a professional bartender to demonstrate how to make popular cocktails and help serve your guests.
